The self portraits in Chick Flick are digital collages that integrate my image with photographs from vintage magazines.
The text is derived from three sources: • advertisements originally accompanying the magazine images • song lyrics from the 1940's -50's and • excerpts from a 1957 Home Economics textbook The soundtrack is a digital blend of "End of a Little Girl's Dream" and "Back to the Fairy Ball" from "Musical Depreciation" by Spike Jones & His City Slickers.
