Above is a video mock-up of what the Willimantic Screen Project will look like at the Storefront Art Festival, on Main Street, Willimantic, summer of 2011.
The video shows both traditional and new media artwork displayed in storefront windows and building facades, with "before" and "after" views to highlight the transformation that occurs when creative work is placed in public space.
Cafemantic's right storefront window is shown as an internet site for Streaming Museum exhibitions
(StreamingMuseum.org). This screen would also post changing information about local events, making important community information available to everyone.

Below is an actual real-time test of "Turning Pages", a site-specific new media work about the power of reading, projected onto the Willimantic Public Library facade from the second floor of the Capitol Arts Theater directly accross the street.
